Erroneous stock values?
I just updated to 3.5.6 and ran a stock report and noticed that an item i have 15 of, and that costs $.83 has a value of over $1,200!!! What's going on?

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the forum post.
That column you see looks like it is the default cost column which seems to be set to 82 cents. We don't base our values off of your default cost.
First I would look at the Stock Correction report to see if there were any Stock Corrections made. You could also look at your past purchases, that is where we are calculating the actual value from. Can you confirm this? If not, we can start a case and I can contact you to get the database from you to take a look at it.
Thanks,
James

I found a stock correction made by my employee on April13th of 2012. Apparently, this has nothing to do with 3.5.6! But, I still have some banjo finger picks that are said to be worth $1,640 instead of $16.60. Given the unchangeable nature of Checkout (which is very frustrating!!!!) How can I correct this? If it were QuickBooks or something I would just go back to that stock correction and change the numbers. i can't do that here - right?
Help!

Hi Chris,
You can make stock corrections. At this point, what I would recommend doing it create a stock adjustment and correct your stock to zero (make sure you look at the value first so that way you can equal it out to zero).
Once you make the stock correction to zero, you can then do another stock correction and input the correct amount in, at the correct cost, so you can get the correct value. This will help you get back to where you need to be.
Thanks,
James
