Hi There,
Can you please tell me when 'sale' pricing option will be available and possibly 'customer pricing'?
I would love to see Checkout have these options so we don't need to switch systems.

Thanks!
S

    Hi S:

I'm sorry that you're having this issue. When you say Sale pricing and Customer pricing, I'm not sure if I fully understand what you're looking for. Would you be able to clarify on what you mean by these?

    Regards,

To have an option to enter 'sale' pricing for items directly in the product card.

Customer pricing, to give a certain percentage automatically to a specific customer without having to manually give 10% off.

    Hi Sabrina:

I thank you for clarifying on what you were asking for. If I'm understanding you correctly, you're looking for a way to set a default selling price on the product. This price would be used for retail customers whom walk into your store and do not receive any type of discount. Something like this can currently be setup within Checkout. To do so, simply navigate to Manager > Products > Pricing and ensure that the 'Retail Price' has been set correctly.

In regards to having a customer pricing, if I'm understanding what you're looking for, you would like the ability to assign a % discount on products the customer is purchasing. This is also currently something that Checkout has the ability of doing, but unfortunately it is only displayed when creating a new order. In order to see this window, simply use the new order button at the top of Checkout, or the convert to order button at the bottom of a sale - if one is already open.

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Andy

    Hi Andy,

No - you are not understanding me correctly.

    1. I would like the option of having a 'retail price' but also another
option to have 'sale price' so if we have a sale, we can simply update our
    sale pricing.

    2. Again, no you are not understanding me... I am aware we can convert to
an order and give a discount on any sale. What I am asking is if I simply
select a clients name, I would like it to automatically give a discount.
    (not enter it in manually).

    Hi There,

I purchased our second version of checkout last year for a second til. Ever
since then, it has been SLOW. I did everything I was told to try, I even
went out and bought new Cat 5 line so that it didn't run off of WIFI, it is
SO painful and if I can't figure it out we are going to have to go with
another provider, as we truly cannot use our second til.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello Sabrina,

Could you tell me what exactly you have already tried? I do not see any details or suggestions beyond 6-months ago there being a recommendation to hard wire your network. So I'm not sure if that is everything, or if you have attempted to do more.

Also, can you describe what exactly both machines are doing when you're experiencing the speed issues? Is one machine receiving product in the stock room while the other is making large sales? Some detail like that will be helpful.

    Hi Mike,

The 'main' computer may be doing a sale, or may be sitting unused. The second computer is the one that freezes all the time.

I know the systems can slow down if/ when we receive orders or run reports but that is not the case on this situation.

It may freeze when trying to enter into a sale, sometimes in the middle of a sale it'll freeze, in some cases the total doesn't appear at the bottom until you hit pay or invoice.

    Cheers,

    Hi Sabrina,

We have heard of the issue where the total doesn't appear at the bottom. In previous cases it was network related and it's was recommended that an IT specialist take a look at the network as a whole. Before I direct you that way, can you clarify a few things for me?

    • Can you go to the Apple and choose About This Mac on both machines? Please provide me with the information from both machines.

    • Within Checkout, can you go to the Checkout menu and select About Checkout on both machines? Please provide me with the information from both machines.

    • Does either machine have any other windows open? Such as the Manager or Stock Room? Even if they are sitting idle, it would be good to be clear if they are idle on the main Checkout screen with no other Checkout windows open or something else.

    Regards,

    Mike
