Start again?

Hi,

I have two problems:

Firstly, I started setting up stock levels the wrong way! I was entering stock I brought in through the stock correction window rather than creating a PO! I now have a mix. Secondly, the mac I was running my till on had a hard disk failure, and I was without a till for about a month, then behind on new stock coming in etc.

What I think is best is that I start again. Can this be done? I need to delete all product and sales data to start anew. I have exported the product data in a .csv file and zeroed all the stock levels in it, with the idea being that starting with the fresh store, I import all the product data, go back and enter everything through the purchase order side, then run all the sales.

I have a year end coming up, so I need the outs and ins, the timing isn't important hence being happy to sell everything on one day! I have accounts kept elsewhere that have kept track of timings of money in and out. What I want is the store to be set up properly so it can be used to its fullest going forward.

Thanks for your help!

    Hello gareth,

You can start again by creating a new store, then importing your products and customers. For your sales, payments, purchases, etc. you can run those reports in the old store, then enter those into your new store.

We have detailed information on creating a new store at this link

    I hope this helps.
