Create a New Store

  1. There are two ways to start the process of creating a new Store:
    1. If there are no stores hosted on your machine, you can select Create a Store from the Welcome window, otherwise
    2. You can always start the process by selecting Manage Checkout Stores... from the Checkout menu at the upper left-hand corner of the screen
  2. Click the Create button
  3. Enter the name and password of the Administrator user account on your Mac
  4. Indicate a Store Name. (This can be changed later)
  5. The store currency is displayed; if you need to change, click on the pencil, which will open the System Preferences on your Mac. NOTE: Once This is Set It CANNOT be Changed
  6. Indicate your Sales Tax method. Sales Tax is used in the US and Canada. VAT is used in many other areas
  7. Select the Inventory costing method
  8. Enter the number of the first invoice
  9. Enter the name of the store Owner (Manager)
  10. Enter and verify a pasword
  11. Click Create
