Create a New Store
- There are two ways to start the process of creating a new
Store:
- If there are no stores hosted on your machine, you can select Create a Store from the Welcome window, otherwise
- You can always start the process by selecting Manage Checkout Stores... from the Checkout menu at the upper left-hand corner of the screen
- Click the Create button
- Enter the name and password of the Administrator user account on your Mac
- Indicate a Store Name. (This can be changed later)
- The store currency is displayed; if you need to change, click on the pencil, which will open the System Preferences on your Mac. NOTE: Once This is Set It CANNOT be Changed
- Indicate your Sales Tax method. Sales Tax is used in the US and Canada. VAT is used in many other areas
- Select the Inventory costing method
- Enter the number of the first invoice
- Enter the name of the store Owner (Manager)
- Enter and verify a pasword
- Click Create
