Moving Checkout

To move Checkout to another machine:

  1. Create a backup of your store(s). Please reference this article for how to backup.
  2. Deactivate the Checkout license on this machine (unless you are just moving the Store). (Select Registration from the Checkout menu at the upper left-hand corner of the screen. Click Deactivate.)
  3. Exit Checkout
  4. Copy the backup of your Store to the new machine
  5. Install Checkout on the new machine (if necessary)
  6. Launch Checkout
  7. Register Checkout (if necessary). (Select Registration from the Checkout menu at the upper left-hand corner of the screen. Enter all registration information, and click Submit.)
  8. Restore your Store from the backup file. Please reference this article for help restoring your backup.
  9. Enter the password for the Store manager
  10. Close the Manage Checkout Stores window
  11. Select and log into your Store
