Checkout 2.5 to 3.5

Dear,

After a roof leak disaster at our store, we lost our iMac G4 (checkout 2.5.?) and checkout backup but we could salvage our TimeMachine backup. We now downloaded the latest checkout on a Mac Mini but I can't open our store with the new checkpoint.
I searched through this forum but didn't found any solution that worked.
Please help!
