Export Problems

I've had Checkout for Several years now (at least 4 maybe more). When we first got it installed I noticed a problem right away....when I export the ledger from Checkout for QuickBooks it never actually exported correctly. When I would say to export "Since Last Export" it would never actually do that. It would still export lines that had already been exported causing duplicated transactions in QuickBooks. Sometimes it would even just leave out a transaction so the transaction would be in checkout but not in QuickBooks. I called support right away and spoke with someone. He was able to duplicate the problem and gave me a temporary work around (open the file in text edit and manually delete duplicate transactions). While it takes only a couple of minutes to do that extra step, after 4 years I would have expected this problem to be fixed by now! Sometimes it takes much longer because I have to find missing transactions and enter them into QuickBooks manually. Does anyone else have this problem and does anyone that works for checkout actually ever see this being fixed.....I'm pretty sure 4 years is long enough for me to be patient...................................

    Hi Kari:

I'm sorry that you're having a problem and understand the frustration. Looking at your account - I see you have been in contact with support in February via email but haven't received an update about the status. This issue will be addressed in the Checkout 4.0 release. I also noticed that you're account is flagged to be contacted once the fix for this issue is released. Just to confirm - we show a different email on file ([email blocked]) than what you're using to login to the user forums ([email blocked]). Has your email changed and should we update it on our end so you're receiving the notification to the new email address?

While I understand that the workaround you have been using works and isn't that difficult - another workaround comes to mind that I think will save you time on having to modify the exported files. When exporting the ledger, you have the options to export either: All Transactions, Selection Only, or Since Last Export.

Depending on how often you export, I would suggest going with the Selection Only option for the time being. When using this option, it would be best to export at the end of the day so you're receiving all transactions for that day.

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Andy

I have to export daily in order to do my deposits. I will start using the other workaround you suggested since it does seem a tiny bit quicker and hopefully won't delete transactions like the first work around was doing.

I have updated my email address so the one I am using now is the good one, so yes, please update :)

Is there any expected date for the release of Checkout 4.0?

    Thank you

    Kari Daniel
