Checkout became SLOW since we updated to Version 4.0.5 Build C4-8217
We need your URGENT help ! Since the very last update to Version 4.0.5 Build C4-8217, Checkout became very slow at the point that it's a real problem in our physical shop with the customer waiting more than acceptable for paying !!! When we press New Sale, the window opens after 6 seconds, the scanned product appear instantly in the list, but its price and total appear after 8 seconds... and this is the same for each product of a sale !!! When we press Pay and select Cash or Debit Card the window becomes all WHITE and reappear correct after 11 seconds !!! We use Checkout for more than 5 years and this has never happened before !!! Are you conscious of this ??? Do you know how to resolve this ??? If not, I will have to revert to the previous version... Please inform me quickly so that I make a correct decision.

Hi Fred:
I'm sorry you're having a problem. When you say since the last update to Version 4.0.5, Checkout is slow - I'm not really understanding what is causing Checkout to slow down for you.
To better understand why this happens, would you be able to answer the following questions:
In order to try and correct this issue, could I have you Quit Checkout, then preform a restart of your computer. Please advise of the results after the reboot.

Good morning Andy,
We upgraded from the very last build (I don't keep track of each numbers) but I can tell you that we are so eager to have the most efficient Checkout that we always update as soon as possible when we get the alert from the software ! If I remember well in the last 2 weeks you have sent at least 2 updates... and we updated immediately ! It's only the very last one that made Checkout slow !
Until now we have only one computer connected to Checkout... Maybe more when you launch an IPad version !
Checkout is never left open overnight... We close all applications and the computer when we close the physical shop.
It's SLOW all day long ! Running Checkout with other applications or alone doesn't change anything... Restarting the computer doesn't change anything ! Still slow... today again !

PS: For your information, we also noticed that from this very last build you solved the bug in Checkout 4 about the Enstore sales that were impossible to open in Checkout... Now, after synching, we can open those sales to prepare them and print the ticket and not only rely on the email that we receive from the system when a Enstore sale is made... Thanks ! (as you know we are a first day user of Enstore)

I can 100% confirm this problem. It basically is as frederic said - It gives us the beachball at each and every step we do.
Creating new order -> 5 seconds beachball
Adding product -> 5 seconds beachball
and so on
Our machines are iMac 21,5"
2,5 GHz Intel Core i5
16GB DDR3 RAM
250GB SSD
Please fix this guys... it's so time consuming.

Maybe the last update didn't charge well ?

I'm sorry that you're having a problem and we would like to see if we can replicate this issue in house. Frederic, I've sent you a separate email to upload a backup file for testing. Could you confirm if you've received this instructions and advise if this happens on every sale or if it's been happening only on certain conditions? (e.g., A search in the product list must be performed, a specific product that always generates this issue)

1- Email received... Will make the backup and send it as soon as possible,
2- Checkout is slow only in the process of making a sale, but is slow for every sale !
3- The reasons you give to explain Checkout to be slow "were" before Checkout 4 ! Checkout 4 was a real fantastic gain in speed until the last build !

I wanted to let you know I've received your file successfully and can replicate the issue with your store. This seems to be a strange case and I will be escalating this information up. I will let you know when I receive additional details back.
