Payment method surcharges

We charge a surcharge when paying by credit card of 1% of the payment value.
I see I could have a code for the surcharge and manually calculate the value.
Is there a way to create a product/charge which calculates this automatically?

    Hi David,

    There is no way for a product in Checkout to automatically price itself at a percentage of the total invoice. You will have to manually add a product, calculate, and enter the exact dollar amount you wish to charge.
