Checkout on a mac and back office on a PC?

I am looking into Checkout.

Excuse these questions may seem silly but apart from my iPhone I'm not really very knowledgeable when it comes to Apple.

Am I correct in saying that it will not run off and iPad?

I have a very small permanent outlet at a indoor market which is open daily and space is a major problem.

It was suggested that I get a mac mini with a 21" screen and a cordless keyboard and also a printer.
Screen seems quite big.

Will I be able to use the mac at the store and access the back office (think that's what its referred to as) inventory/sales reports from my PC at my home office?

    Hi Janet

You're correct, you can't run Checkout on an iPad.

As regards screen size, you can use Checkout perfectly well on a MacBook Air with an 11" screen. A thermal receipt printer, which is all you need with Checkout, will take up the least amount of space. I don't know if emailing receipts is an option but obviously if it is you could do away with the printer.

Checkout is a Mac only application. You could access your Checkout date file via one of the screen sharing apps or you could just email key reports to your PC.
