Checkout Now Running Very Slowly
I have been using Checkout since version 2 and am no running on version 4.0.7 Build C4-8236. Since this latest update Checkout has begun to crawl rather than run. Processing a sale has definitely slowed but is still acceptable but the biggest problem is inputting new stock items. Whereas it used to take a couple of minutes to input a new item, including website details, suppliers, trade and retail price, barcode etc, it is now taking nearly 10 minutes and most of that time is spent watching the brightly coloured, spinning beach ball. As we often have up to a hundred new items to put in when our suppliers come up with new lines this is really becoming unusable. Having just spent out to upgrade Checkout on 3 computers I find it is now worse than when we were using Checkout 3 the only real advantage being the synching with Shopify.

We too are experiencing this problem. It's difficult for our employees to use the system as it's really slow. All on new mac mini's.

Further to my comments above. If I use the computer with the server on it the application runs quite quickly but as we have to use that for the store register I use a "slave" Imac. I can't use this as a register because it's too slow so whereas before I always had to registers available in busy times I now effectively only have one. Also it took me over an hour to input 9 items this morning on the "slave" Imac which I find totally unacceptable. I've even wired both computers into the network to see if the problem was with the wireless connections but it is no quicker.

Hi Dave,
Sorry to hear that you are having these issues. There were several changes made to Checkout 4.0.7 that should have actually increased the speed of the application. So, I do have a few preliminary questions to ask:
