Allocation of items when creating an invoice

Hello,
We have a problem with the allocation of our items whenever we create an invoice that consists of 40+ products (so 40 different kinds of products, each with their own quantity). Even if all of the products are in stock, the system "splits" the order and does not allocate the products all at once. For example, you're creating an invoice which contains 42 different products (named product 1, product 2, etc), each having their own quantity. Now if you want to allocate the order, you'll get a message saying that not all products can be allocated (even though all of them are in stock). If, for example, you had added 12 pieces of product 1 and 17 pieces of product 2 on the invoice, the system will first allocate 4 pieces of product 1 and 8 pieces of product 2. Afterwards, it will allocate the rest of the items. This results in 2 invoices (sometimes even 3), whereas you wanted 1 invoice for the complete order.
How can we solve this problem? I hope my explanation is clear and that someone can help me.
Thank you.

    Hi Gillian,

I read over the issue you are having and am unable to replicate this issue. The only time I run into a problem is when I click on allocate and there is a yellow dot next to the product. When there is a yellow dot next to the product, that means that you don't have enough on hand to fulfill the entire Order so when you invoice that order, only the amount that you have available in stock will be invoiced. I have added over 50 products to an order with different quantities and was unable to replicate the problem.

Can you confirm that on the order window, all the dots are green next to the items when you click on Allocate and Invoice?

    Dear James,
    Thank you for the reply.

We've found out what the problem is. After we created an invoice, we would click invoice (and not allocate). So we got a message saying that a partial invoice would be made because not all items were allocated. That's because we didn't allocate them in the first place. So that is solved!

I do have some other comments/questions:
    - Is it possible for the customer to see the discount that they receive on their receipt? If you give them a discount, the (thermal) receipt only reflects the discounted price. So not the original price minus the discount. They would like to see how much the discount is. Is it possible to change that?
    - Item codes are not printed on the thermal receipt. But they are printed on full size receipts (A4/letter size). Is it possible to also have that printed on the receipt? So actually the same information that you see on your screen when processing a sale.

    Sincerely,
    Gillian

    Gillian,

Currently, we do have a custom receipt template that includes the discount percentage available for download at this link
    https://checkout.tenderapp.com/kb/general/checkout-receipt-invoice-...

Due to size restrictions on the thermal receipt, unfortunately all the information that is printed on the 8.5 x 11 invoice would not fit.

We appreciate your feedback and have forwarded to our development team.

    Kind Regards,
    Michele

    Michele,
    Thank you for the link.
It would be great if the customer could also see the original price on the receipt!

    Sincerely,
    Gillian
