restoring Checkout - how long?

I am trying to restore Checkout using a back-up store and it has now been running for close to 24 hours. How long do I let it do this before creating a new store? It would have information from 2010, so I'm imagining it'll take awhile but not that long. And is there another way for me to access that software if this back-up doesn't work??

    Hello Caroline,

    I am sorry that you are having this problem. The backup should not take that long. I would suggest to reboot the computer first. Then follow the steps to restore a backup while not logged into Checkout from the link below:
