Creating Stores

To create a new Store, select Create Store from the Welcome window to create your first store. When you start this process, you'll be prompted to enter your Mac password. To create a store, you'll need to:

  • Enter a store name
  • Indicate the Currency used at the store
  • Identify the Sales Tax system being used (VAT or Sales Tax)
  • Indicate the inventory costing method (First In, First Out (FIFO) or Average Cost)
  • Indicate the first invoice number
  • Enter a user name and password

If a Checkout store is being hosted on the Mac you're logged into, Create Store will not be an option on the Welcome Window.

Create additional stores through Store Administration (Checkout > Manage Checkout Stores).
